Skjolden hotel is perfectly placed at the very end of the worlds longest fjord - Sognefjorden.

Waking up in the morning and looking out the window, we can honestly say it is like waking up inside a painting. The mountains are gently reflected in the fjord, framed by hillsides covered in green. We like to call it a full experience of calm and quiet - no wonder most of our guests don´t want to leave.

Skjolden is the place to wind down, to escape the busy city life or just enjoy a peaceful weekend or moment. Nothing is more important than spending time with the ones you love and cherish. It is in these moments together we create memories.

Skjolden Hotel has 41 rooms with views towards the Lustrafjord or Jotunheimen. The last five years we have made significant upgrades and today we offer high quality experiences in beautiful surroundings.

Our hotel garden reaches all the way down to the shoreline, and you can walk bare-footed down through the grass for a swim. Our goal is to make sure our guest get the most out of their days with us, enjoying the peace, the view and the surrounding nature. Enjoy something good to drink on our terrace or in our lounge before your host announces dinner. Every evening we serve a 4 course dinner based on locally sourced ingredients. And, lets not forget. The hotel has its own wine cellar with an exciting selection of wine and we brew our own beer.
