Jostedalsbreen Glacier

Jostedalsbreen glacier is the largest main land glacier in Europe.

Travel an hour by car from Skjolden Hotel to one of the more accessible glacier arms “Nigardsbreen”. After a short boat ride on the glacier lake you can hike closer to the glacier on your own or join a glacier guide onto the ice.

On the way up you pass Breheimsenteret, an information center for Jostedalen national park.
